Into the middle of this spectacle swoops – a la the Wicked Witch of the West – a helicopter with a vacuum attachment that sucks up everybody's favorite things. The Sesame Street and Grouchland citizens all freeze in horror] 


[with his mouth full of chips]  Elmo: Telly. [Everyone stops cheering]  [realizes he is naked] 

Don't let him escape with my Elmo: You let Elmo and his Blanket go! Telly: I can't stop! Elmo : Elmo wants to say, thanks for helping. Elmo's pals from "Sesame Street" come looking for him, but Huxley has them tossed in jail, so Elmo sets out for Huxley's mountaintop lair on his own – a harrowing journey in "Sesame Street" terms, but fear not; whenever things look bleak, Bert and Ernie stop the movie and reassure kids that all will be well. Two or three such participatory moments should relieve the fidgets. The Sesame Street and Grouchland citizens cheer, as Huxley grunts in frustration]  [abruptly shouts]  Elmo Wants Blanket Back.

Immediately, Huxley drops the claw's remote to the floor. Huxley ... [Suddenly, Elmo's Blanket is sucked up by the vacuum hose on Huxley's helicopter. [Elmo burst through the window] Elmo wants his blanket back, now! [covers himself immediately]  Patinkin's especially, despite his supple tenor, goes on too long. Immediately, Huxley drops the claw's remote to the floor. And out of it pops the villainous, extravagantly eyebrowed Huxley, played by Mandy Patinkin in a manner that mixes Dr. Seuss with vaudeville. The claw swings around and drops the laundry basket, leaving Elmo dangling. [follows Bug off] Elmo and Prairie Dawn.

[Suddenly, Elmo's Blanket is sucked up by the vacuum hose on Huxley's helicopter. [exits the helicopter]  The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland Blanket Chasing Zoe And Telly And Elmo Dylan Belke. [goes back to dance with his friends. "Elmo wants his blanket back NOW!!!!" "TURN AROUND!!!!" The Grouchlanders, those anti-Munchkins, sing "Welcome to Grouchland – now SCRAM!"

She won't let him go until he wins a contest by blowing 100 raspberries in 30 seconds. Elmo : Elmo wants his Blanket back! NOOOW! The blanket tears a bit, then Telly crashes into it on his skates and it goes flying, landing on Oscar the Grouch, who blows his nose with it, drops it into his trash can and wanders off.
